This project in Sedgefield involved the supply and installation of a farm-style automated entrance gate for a rural property, designed to provide secure access while keeping the entrance practical and in keeping with the surrounding setting.

The gate was automated using underground-style swing gate motors and fitted with a two-button GSM intercom system, allowing access to be controlled directly from a mobile phone. This gives the customer an easy way to manage visitors and deliveries without needing to leave the house.

GSM Intercom and Automated Access

The two-button GSM intercom allows the gate to be operated remotely, making day-to-day access simple and convenient. Visitors can call directly through to the property, with the gate opened from a mobile phone when needed.

A free-to-exit device was also installed, allowing the gate to open automatically when leaving the property. The GSM intercom was programmed to manage this function during set hours, giving added flexibility depending on how the entrance is used throughout the day.

Safety Features Built Into the Gate System

To improve safety during operation, a Bircher edge was fitted to the motor body. This safety device helps detect obstructions while the gate is moving and adds an extra layer of protection for vehicles, pedestrians and daily use.

Additional Entrance Works

Alongside the main gate installation, a post and rail fence was installed to one side of the entrance, together with a separate pedestrian gate. This helps create a practical boundary while keeping access simple for both vehicles and foot traffic.
